Artist’s Statement:
This drawing marks an exciting milestone in my collection. After capturing the ski culture of Alpental, White Pass, and Stevens Pass, Mount Hood Meadows becomes the fourth ski hill I’ve drawn—and my very first artwork created outside the state of Washington!
 
I’ve always followed one personal rule: I only draw places I’ve actually been. Standing on the slopes of Mount Hood and experiencing the atmosphere firsthand made this piece possible. I wanted to capture that burst of motion from the skier catching air, the density of the trees lining the run, and Mount Hood rising quietly but powerfully in the distance. It’s a moment full of energy and anticipation, exactly what winter feels like at Meadows.
 
This drawing is also part of a much bigger vision. My dream is to draw every ski hill in America, building a collection that celebrates the places where people find adventure, community, and winter joy. One day, I hope to see my artwork in gift shops all over the country, celebrating the mountains that connect us. Mount Hood Meadows is the next step on that journey, and I’m so excited to share it with you.
